Questions& answers
Is there heating or cooling in the Glass House?
Yes. The Glass House is fully climate-controlled with both air conditioning and heating, ensuring your celebration is comfortable regardless of weather. The Glass House space is also fully soundproofed.
How many guests can the venue accommodate?
The Clementine works beautifully across a wide range of event sizes. Many of our clients host celebrations of 200 to 500 guests, using the Glass House's flexible layout to partition the space or create distinct zones that feel purposeful and intimate. Others choose the venue specifically because the generous proportions allow for ambitious themed production installations, elaborate staging, or immersive event design that smaller venues simply can't support. For larger celebrations, the Glass House accommodates up to 600 seated with dance floor, 750 without, and 1,000 to 1,200 for standing receptions or theatre-style configurations. With the full estate including outdoor areas, the venue can host up to 2,000 guests depending on your configuration.
Can we hold outdoor elements of our event?
Absolutely. The 4-acre estate includes the Wilderness Lawn, Walled Garden, Cedar Deck, Lower Lawn, and mature private woodlands — all available for outdoor ceremonies, receptions, dining, entertainment, and activities. With Extended Celebrations allowing up to fifteen hours, you have the time to craft both indoor and outdoor elements across the day. Immersive event experiences that flow between the Glass House and the grounds work particularly well here. Your venue coordinator will help you plan contingency arrangements for weather.
Can our booking be transferred to another person?
Please contact our team to discuss. Transfer requests are considered on a case-by-case basis and are subject to an administration cost.
Can coaches or large vehicles access the venue?
Coaches and larger vehicles cannot pull directly into the venue space, however dedicated parking for coaches and large vehicles is available nearby. Specific access arrangements are coordinated with your venue coordinator during planning.
From the editorial team

We host fifty events a season. Here’s why that number matters to you.
Most venues measure success in volume. We've made a deliberate choice to do the opposite — and it changes almost everything about what we're able to offer.

What nobody tells you about planning a summer event in London
The British summer celebration is one of the most sought-after events in the world. It is also one of the most easily undermined by decisions that seemed perfectly reasonable at the time.

Your caterer says more about you than your flowers do
Catering tends to be one of the last decisions made and the one with the least deliberate thought behind it. Which is interesting, because it's the one your guests will remember longest.
