Before the celebration fully begins

What makes it unique
The guest arrival sequence
Positioned to the right as guests come through the gates, the Walled Garden is an ideal sign-in and welcome space for larger groups — setting the tone before they reach the Cedar Deck and Glass House.
Shade, seclusion, and stillness
The tree canopy provides excellent natural shade throughout the day. It works equally well as an intimate ceremony setting, an outdoor reception space, or a quiet zone within a larger event.
Connected to the wilderness
The Walled Garden connects directly to the serpentine walk through The Clementine's wilderness woodlands — giving guests a natural route deeper into the estate.

The Walled Garden is a lawn set against the estate's listed perimeter wall, positioned to the right as guests come through the gates into The Clementine's grounds. It sits early in the arrival journey — between the entrance and the Cedar Deck — which makes it one of the most strategically useful spaces on the estate.
For larger events, it's a natural sign-in and welcome space: guests gather, orientate themselves, and begin to take in the setting before moving further into the grounds. For more intimate celebrations, it works as a ceremony lawn or outdoor reception space, sheltered from the sun by a canopy of mature trees that provides consistent shade throughout the day.
The Walled Garden also connects to the serpentine walk through The Clementine's wilderness woodlands — for those who want to offer guests a moment of genuine natural escape within the estate, the route begins here.

Questions& answers
Is there mobile phone signal on site?
Mobile signal is available on site, though coverage varies by network provider. Suppliers should consider backup options for connectivity-dependent systems.
What happens if a supplier causes damage to the venue?
Suppliers are liable for any damage caused during setup, event, or derig, covered under their Public Liability Insurance. Damage must be reported immediately; costs for repair/replacement will be charged.
Can suppliers stay on site during the event?
Yes. Suppliers remain on site as needed. Green room access depends on host designation. Suppliers not required in guest areas can remain in their vehicle or visit other public facilities on the estate.
What are the health and safety requirements for suppliers?
All suppliers must hold current Public Liability Insurance and Employers' Liability Insurance. RAMS may be required depending on the nature of the work.
Is there supplier parking?
Suppliers park in the guest car park. No vehicles are to be parked within the venue space, with the exception of vehicles required for guest services (e.g., golf carts) agreed in advance.
